BSNL New Live TV Service

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) introduced its Live TV service in September 2024, initially launching in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This service allows BSNL Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) customers to access over 500 live TV channels with high-quality streaming. Notably, the data consumed for streaming these channels does not count against the user's internet data plan, as the service operates independently within BSNL's intranet.

To access BSNL Live TV, customers with Android TVs running version 10 or above can download the "BSNL Live TV" app from the Google Play Store. The app is published by WeConnect and offers a user-friendly interface for streaming live channels. 

In November 2024, BSNL expanded this service by introducing the IFTV (Intranet Fiber Television) service, which includes support for popular OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, Netflix, YouTube, and ZEE5. This enhancement provides users with a comprehensive entertainment experience, combining live TV and on-demand content. 

As of now, the BSNL Live TV service is available exclusively to BSNL FTTH customers in Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The company plans to roll out the service across other regions in India in a phased manner.  This IPTV Detailed name (internet protocol television) is an Detailed name of this. When it was first introduced, this service was provided only by BSNL Fiber Networking. This service was offered for free on Android TV as a trial run without a set-top box through an app called BSNL Live. BSNL wanted to expand this. Accordingly, in February 2025, it designed this service to be available on mobiles as well. Accordingly, it created a separate application for this. The app was created under the name BSNL Bi TV. It also provided OTT service. This service works through the Internet, but the BSNL Fiber service was created to work without the Internet. This service is provided free of charge, but the Live TV provided by the BSNL mobile service is charged. The reason for providing this Live TV channel is to send clear digital and to provide all telecommunication services separately. BSNL has provided this service.
